Hindsight truly makes us experts of everything past. Why couldn’t we know the future back then? What fools we were not to develop our prognosticating skills when we had all of that free time?

Today we shall engage in a telling hypothetical situation. Imagine that you could go back in time — five, 10, even 15 years ago and deliver one piece of MMO gaming advice to your younger self. What would you say? Would you tell yourself to play a certain title or avoid another one? Would you warn yourself of an impending MMO shutdown and to make the most of the time remaining? Would you deflate your younger self’s hype in a particular product — especially one that you now know never launched? Or would you tell yourself about what’s truly important in the end when it comes to gaming?

One message to the past about MMO gaming. Make it count. What would it be?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
