Back in June, Massively Overthinking tackled the “second big five” MMOs in terms of popularity, coverage, and overall game health. It certainly brought to the forefront the fact that right below the A-tier MMOs, there’s a much wider field of B-tier games that may not be topping charts, but they’re doing a respectable business even so.
Of course, what games belong on B-tier is a little bit objective and a whole lot subjective, so I’m not going to judge your picks today. But I would like you to sound off on your favorite MMOs that have done well historically or enjoy at least one strong metric of success, even if it’s not across the board.
What is your favorite B-tier MMORPG and why? Does it deserve more recognition, or are you comfortable with it sitting at that level?
