The Daily Grind: Do you have any boxed MMO copies still lying around?

Balance.

The move to most MMOs being either wholly or largely digital has been a welcome change for my overall shelf space. Heck, I haven’t actually bought a boxed copy of a PC game in ages. But that doesn’t mean I don’t still have some. I still have collector’s editions of Final Fantasy XIV’s launch version as well as Stormblood and Heavensward. I also have a collector’s edition of Lord of the Rings Online for some reason (I am pretty sure it was a promotional gift at a convention). There’s a sealed copy of WildStar I was gifted by the developers at one point, too.

These are not necessary things. They’re decorations. The boxes are things I keep because I like having them, period end. But they are things I like having, and I can hardly blame other people for keeping them on a similar basis. They can be collectible items. So do you have any boxed MMO copies still lying around? Do you keep them on display anywhere or are they just somewhere in storage out of habit?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
