Near the end of April, Nightingale developer Inflexion Games held a live Discord Q&A between the devs and the survivalbox’s players, but if you missed out on that, the studio has pulled together a full transcript that has some insights for fans to dig in to.
We naturally will focus on a topic that’s near and dear to our hearts: multiplayer content updates. It’s here that we have a bit of sad news, as Inflexion noted its mostly focusing on getting offline mode to work, so the team isn’t adding more unique multiplayer features so as not to create a disparity between offline and online play. That’s not to suggest co-op is being brushed aside completely, as the studio says having more co-op things to do is “important” to the online experience.
On the subject of offline mode, Inflexion provided an update on progress: It’s functioning internally but still needs more engineering time to get working. The devs are also working on how to make the multiplayer vault delves work in offline mode.
Other tidbits in the Q&A transcript include plans for an expanded build system, discussions about progression systems beyond just gear (though nothing is tied down), a hint of electric power being a factor in base building, and confirmation of new biomes, creatures, weapons, and building tilesets.
