By now you are no doubt familiar with the guild halls arriving in Guild Wars 2‘s Heart of Thorns expansion. What you probably didn’t expect is that the expansion is available for purchase as of tonight and is already stirring up controversy for its $49.99 standard rate that comes along with a copy of the base game whether you’ve already got it or not. The deluxe version will run $74.99 and come with an extra character slot and several cosmetic goodies, while the ultimate edition runs $99.99 and is just like the deluxe set only with 4000 gems in addition to the fluff. All editions grant access to weekend beta events slated for the game, and many of the in-game goodies will be unlocked on accounts now instead of when the expansion launches.
But earlier today, ArenaNet wanted to dish on the guild halls coming to the game, and it was worth the flight to LA! I sat down with ArenaNet Game Designer Link Hughes, Design Lead Crystin Cox, and PvP Test Lead Jessica Boettiger here at E3 2015 to get a look at and talk all about guild housing. Here’s the scoop (and a video, too!).
With so many fun heroes to play in Marvel Heroes
, it’s no wonder Massively OP’s MJ doesn’t have many at max level. But today she’s trying to change that; she’s going to make a mad dash to get Dr. Doom to level 60 using the bounty of Midtown Madness. Can she succeed and double her cache of max-level characters? Tune in live at 11:00 a.m. to cheer her on (and see if her inventory can survive the onslaught of loot)!

It’s been a while since MassivelyOP’s MJ has checked in on The Repopulation, and there’s been a number of changes since then (like the addition of a diplomacy mini-game!). That means it is time to revisit this sci-fi sandbox and see what kind of trouble she can stir up. Surely there will be plenty! Join us live at 12:00 p.m. as MJ traverses the map looking for more adventure while discussing the latest changes.

Earlier this week, Aion’s
Elyos got to check out their upcoming new zone, Cygnea
. Today, the Asmodians can see their area that will be introduced in the Upheaval update coming June 17th
. This new video of Enshar shows off some new creatures and more than a few breathtaking vistas. From waterfalls to bubbles to rainbows, there’s no missing the fact that this zone is all about aquatics. Take a watery tour in the clip below.
Back by popular demand, MassivelyOP’s Larry and MJ are prowling the world of The Elder Scrolls Online as Larry resists the lure of coin in everyone’s pockets. Oh, who are we kidding — we know he’ll cave in! Other than hoping they can avoid being forcibly separated in different instances again, MJ is totally looking forward to watching Larry’s attempts at pickpocketing every guard he sees. Why? Because there’s nothing quite like the sight when he fails! Bring your popcorn, sit back, and tune in live at 1:00 p.m. to watch Larry run wildly away from death with a price on his head. There might be some questing and exploration involved, too.

Last time MassivelOP’s Justin and MJ went through The Secret World’s Orochi tower, they encountered a floor with no encounters! That’s right, they found the joke floor. They also found work areas where random employees sat dead at their desks while their coworkers . It makes you wonder, what will they find next? Tonight the two roll the dice and hope to sweep through a different set of floors. And maybe — just maybe — MJ will be able to actually see the final cutscenes and boss fights! Tune in live at 9:00 p.m. as OPTV‘s infamous Stream Team brings you…

Tradition: It’s more than just a catchy tune, it’s a way to make your mark on The Secret World. In what has become a summer tradition, devs are soliciting suggestions for the August item of the month, a gift given to all subscribed members for that month. Not only can you influence the type of item (hat, t-shirt, shoes, jewelry, etc.), but you can even craft the design for the shirts. There are a few guidelines to follow, so those interested should check out the full details in the official thread and then post their ideas there by 10:00 a.m. EDT on June 15th. Then from June 17th to the 23rd players will vote for which gift to receive. And all those ideas that don’t win? You might just see some appear as a new item later on anyways!
Hi. My name is MJ. And I like The Secret World’s combat.
There, I admitted it. And trust me, I am fully aware that it is not the popular prevailing attitude of TSW comment posters or even the most dedicated fans. The combat is the most-complained-about thing in relation to the game, even by those who love it. You can’t read any thread without a handful or more of “the story is so freaking amazing, but the combat sucks rocks and kills it for me” comments. To be fair, there are also a number who then reply and ask folks to elaborate on why the combat is so terrible, and a few times those folks actually do answer. Most of the vocal complainers, however, just say that the icky combat ruined their experience and leave it at that. Some go on about how other games are just so much better but still offer no actual reasons.
Well, I will buck this trend. I am here to tell you why I like TSW’s combat — with reasons! Since we already know why I love so many other features of the game like story, ambiance, and puzzles (my favorite aspects!), it is high time I address the combat element lest you think my silence on the subject infers my distaste for it. Just because combat may not be high on my list of priorities for any game, let alone a brain game like The Secret World, that doesn’t mean the topic isn’t important.
Daybreak has always been very clear that H1Z1 is a game in development, and while it can never be fast enough for fans, the game has been making steady strides in that department. Just the past week more was added and tweaked, so MassivelyOP’s MJ wants to dive in and check those changes out. Will she survive until the dawning of a new day? Or will she fall to another ninja bear? Tune in live at 9:00 and root for her (or even the bears!).

Just because you can’t get to EverQuest II’s Rum Cellar content yet doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the atmosphere of that pirate-y cove. MassivelyOP’s MJ takes a break from decorating and organizing her inventories to show off the new Rumrunner prestige house and matching decor that is available. Will the new digs be cool enough to seduce her into buying yet another home to decorate? Join us live at 9:00 p.m. to see for yourself (and maybe help her resist the sweet siren call of new housing).

You know those times you ask for something that you may regret getting? Well now just might one such time as MassivelyOP’s MJ and Larry team up again in SWTOR
! Larry is continuing to try to convert MJ to the dark side, and this time he’s using a new event to lure her in: the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife Event. MJ’s still not convinced about the Empire, but how bad could a nightlife party be? She’s willing to give it a go just so the two can give away more gifts. Interested in a cartel pack? How about a ? Then you definitely want to tune in live at 3:00 p.m. as this dastardly Imperial duo causes mischief and mayhem as Imperial party animals.

There’s simply no way MassivelyOP’s MJ could resist showing off a new game, so when Das Tal opened its alpha doors for a day, she had to jump right in. And luckily for her, she’s got a great guide to help show her around: Fairytale Distillery Community Director David Wells. Join the pair live at 1:00 p.m. to explore this open PvP sandbox, and bring any questions you might have for the devs!

You’d never buy a car without test-driving it, would you? If only that applied to games and you could take Das Tal for a spin before sinking your support into its Kickstarter… Oh wait, you can! Fairytale Distillery wants players to see what they are supporting so the studio has opened the alpha servers for one day. That means for 24 hours anyone can jump in and experience a taste of that this open PvP sandbox has to offer, and that time is right now.
To play, just download the client and use the key free4all. The dev team is also communicating directly with players during the playtests, so it invites folks to also join their teamspeak server. If you happen to like what you see once you play, Das Tal recently added a less expensive backer tier. But you’d have to hurry; the Kickstarter ends the same time the alpha doors close — at 9:00 a.m. EDT, Wednesday, June 10th.
If you can’t personally take advantage of this alpha offer, we’ve got you covered: The Stream Team will be jumping in and sharing the experience with you this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. on OPTV!
