Beginning today and running through next Thursday, freeform characters — that is, characters that can pick and choose from among all the game’s powers instead of being limited to an archetype — are marked down 50%, making them $25 in ZEN instead of an eye-popping $50.
Subbing players, as always, have full access to their freeform characters; this option is mainly aimed at free-to-play players or people who let their sub lapse but still want to log into freeform toons.
Freeform Slots allow you to create a new character and cherry-pick powers from any of the power frameworks, instead of having to pick one Archetype. Freeform Slots are half off this week for 2500 ZEN (Normally 5000 ZEN).

When you get a freeform slot, you’ll have one new slot you can create a new character in, and that character will always have freeform power choice. Whether you’re Gold or not, that character will always be freeform, now and forever.
