While Overwatch’s most recent event, Uprising, was scheduled to conclude yesterday, it got a brief, second lease on life with a one-day extension. So what happened?
Apparently, Blizzard mistakenly shut down the event earlier than planned yesterday, causing quite a bit of confusion and consternation among fans trying to get those special Uprising-themed lootboxes and skins. The studio brought the event back up and will be concluding it this evening instead. Uprising went live back on April 11th and was notable for its strong emphasis on lore.
A little slip-up like that won’t make much of a dent in the loyalty of Overwatch’s 30 million fans, such as cosplayer Lunar Crow. She showed off two of her most recent outfits, that of Ana’s Captain Amari and Symmetra, making you feel really ashamed of whatever you wore to your last costume party.
