PvE players, this Fortnite update’s for you: Epic’s plotting what it’s calling “Horde Bash” for the game’s PvE side, due out on Thursday of this week with both a challenge mode and scavenger event, plus four new scavenger heroes.

“It all starts in a staging area. You’ll have unlimited time, but limited resources to build a portable horde fort. Once you’ve designed the perfect fort, exit the staging area and party with up to three friends. Your forts will be ready for action when your team hits the ground. As you survive, you’ll receive more resources and more rewards to Challenge The Horde.”

The game’s been embroiled in controversy lately over its new-found love for F2P battle royal PvP, first from paying PvE players once told PvE would be the game’s focus, and second from PUBG developer Bluehole, which has implied a conflict of interest on the part of Epic and its popular engine.
