MMORPGs are famous for creating these super-desirable chase rewards that end up consuming a lot of time and effort on the part of the community. Usually, but not always, it’s all about earning some awesome mount that the art team poured about six times the effort to create than your shabby horse.
But I’ve noticed that over all of the years that I spent attaining some of these rewards, I don’t end up using most of them. After all, you can only wear one outfit at a time, ride one mount at a time, and unleash one cuddly uber-pet on the world at a time. So a lot of my hard work sits in a virtual dusty garage somewhere, mocking time poorly spent.
