The Daily Grind: Which MMO studio do you find the least believable?

Jaded.

Over the course of several years working in this industry, I have grown more willing to believe some studios and less willing to believe others. If ArenaNet told me that Guild Wars 2 can never have housing because a pact was made with the star-worms that dwell between dreams, I would think that sounded absurd, but I would at least extend the benefit of the doubt. By contrast, if Funcom told me Secret World Legends is getting a housing update this summer, I would believe it on the day the client patched and even then I would be more than a little suspicious.

It’s not just about a history of telling the truth or lying; it’s also about whether or not the studio in question has a history of listening to players, trying to correct issues, and generally treating players and fans with respect. Or, you know… doing exactly the inverse of that. So which MMO studio do you find the least believable? What studio would make you want to walk outside and check if its representatives claimed the sky was blue?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
