The Daily Grind: When has an MMO made you laugh at least semi-intentionally?

What was I made for?

So I’m going to be totally honest: The first time I can remember laughing at an MMO is when I found the first of what would later be many outhouse quests in World of Warcraft. Hidden off to one side of Searing Gorge was an outhouse with a quest marker, asking you to take care of a few things and bring the person inside some Silk Cloth for… undisclosed reasons. Yes, the game would decide that this was the funniest thing ever and oversaturate the game with poop quests for every following expansion to its detriment, but just because a joke gets less funny when it’s repeated doesn’t mean the first time wasn’t funny. I laughed, and I have fond memories of that moment.

If you have a particular mindset, there are things that a game does that might make you laugh unintentionally. Particularly bad writing (looking at you, Prince Rurik) can often stick out to the point that you have to laugh. But sometimes there’s just a weird glitch that everyone finds funny, or there’s a quest that’s written to be funny which is actually funny. Today, I don’t want to know about when you were laughing at a game but with it. When has an MMO made you laugh at least semi-intentionally, provoking a chuckle not because of something being shockingly bad but just funny?
