Final Fantasy XIV does not let me just have a normal horse mount. You can get elemental ponies from the old Extreme trials, there are special achievement horses, there are a couple of cash shop options, and so on. But just having a normal horse to ride is basically impossible, which becomes really weird when you consider that we have horses ridden as mounts out in the Azim Steppe. Why is it so hard to just get a regular horse? We got regular alpacas before a normal horse!
It’s a minor thing, but it just bugs me. And I know everyone has these things. Games with oddly anemic selections of beards for characters who want them. Hairstyles that should be available but just aren’t for some reason (like with the Lightforged Draenei in World of Warcraft). Minor alterations to armor sets that don’t actually require new work but just can’t be used by players. Cosmetic items unavailable to players. So what’s a minor omission in your main MMO that just bugs you? It doesn’t hurt the game as a whole, but it just sticks in your craw?
