Mounts are a powerful reward in most MMOs, offering not only a faster way to get to your destination but also a fashion statement to the world. It’s important to a lot of us that a good mount look cool or fit our theme, and the pursuit of acquiring more and more vehicles, horses, and other beasts to find a good match is an addicting one.
Yet I’ve found that when I finally get a particularly perfect mount in a given MMO, I have little desire to keep on collecting them. After all, I can only use one mount at a time, and it’s going to be that one, so what’s the point?
I’m curious whether anyone shares this mindset or the collection aspect of mounts is so compelling that it continues even when you find “The One” perfect mode of transport. Do you keep on collecting mounts when you find a great one or do you stop for good?
