The layers of the interstellar economic management MMO Prosperous Universe already go pretty deep, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t get deeper. The new Expanse update has introduced a new level of management to the game: planetary governance.
Players can now make runs for governor’s office on planets. Should they win, they can determine local market fees and tax rates, which can also result in a nice weekly payout for player corps. With that said, a recent developer’s blog explains that other features like visualizations for corporation political influence, new corporation controls, and the ability to fulfill tasks to influence elections went missing. Players can expect these to arrive with smaller maintenance updates early next year.
The latest newsletter also offers some word about new hires for game developer and front-end developer, an opening for a PR and community manager position, and a gentle reminder to perhaps check out its free-to-play early access launch if you’ve been away for a while.
