The Daily Grind: What’s your most cancel-worthy MMO opinion?

You know you’ve got one – an opinion that’s earnest but not shared by most folks in the MMORPG genre.

For me, it’s that I don’t think level skips and boosts of that nature are that big a deal, and I’ve always felt that way, all the way back to my first MMORPG. Skipping big ol’ grinds in a genre that backloads its “real” game in the endgame anyway is generally not going to hurt most people, and I think my fellow midgamers are generally wise enough to just… not eat the marshmallow. In other words, the kind of person who reads the last page of the book and then gets mad about it was probably not gonna read or enjoy the whole book no matter what anyway, so who cares? But hey, I know a lot of people consider level skips cheating. Brandish your swords.

What’s your most cancel-worthy MMO opinion? Why should we be canceling you?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
