So I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we have a lot of MMORPGs coming in 2024! The bad news is that a lot of them were delayed from 2023, meaning that 2023 didn’t have a whole ton of new MMOs. But this Leaderboard is a long-running poll now, carried over from our days when our GOTY had to go to a new MMO. We changed that ages ago, but I still like to look at the new crop and decide.
So, per tradition, let’s separate them out and look at just the new-new. Expansions and patches and reboots and rogue servers don’t count; this is strictly for MMOs that launched or soft-launched here in the west as new titles in 2023. As usual, we have included a few edge cases – some games in early access, some multiplayer titles with MMO features, all so we have a few more to pick from. Pick up to three!
