Dad's not mad, he's disappointed. Also, he's mad.

If you have a Macintosh, your choice of MMO gaming is a bit more restrained than it is for others. It’s not nonexistent, of course, and with emulators you can even just fire up games that would otherwise be unavailable to you… but it does mean that you have to screw around with emulators first. Every step between you and a game is another step that might eventually get you to a point of “you know what, I would rather just relax with something simple.”

It’s not just operating systems, either. Some people don’t like spending big bucks on graphics cards, which means newer MMOs might be too demanding. Others really like smaller and cheaper monitors. I’m told there are people who claim that mice are too big for their tiny, tiny hands, so having one of those fancy 12-button mice is out of the question and games that are really well-served by them get rougher. So does your choice of computer hardware influence your MMO decisions?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
