The Daily Grind: Are there any MMOs where you feel finished?

Voracious!

The very nature of any given MMO means that as long as the game is still running, you’ll never truly be done. Sure, rogue servers are going to have smaller and less frequent patches, but they’re still going to happen. But despite all of that, you can reach a point where you look at what you’ve accomplished, what content you’ve filled, the mountains you’ve climbed, and suddenly find yourself looking at the game and saying… “Wait, am I done? Was that it?”

Obviously this doesn’t happen for everyone or for every game. Reaching the top of one climb just means you can start in on the next one, after all. But have you ever found yourself accomplishing something in an MMO and then realizing that with that accomplishment, you feel done? Like there’s nothing more you need to do and you can just head into the sunset with a sense of achievement and finality?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
