There are evidently a lot of people who are eager to jump into the free-to-play survival shooter Once Human, even in spite of the game’s technical problems. That’s according to NetEase’s latest PR, which counts over 10 million downloads worldwide and some chart-topping success on Steam.

In addition to the number of downloads (not active players), NetEase was also eager to point out the game hitting top seller’s spots on Steam in 11 different countries, though those numbers have since adjusted; it still is #6 globally and #5 in the United States on the platform at the time of this writing.

The high-water marks are reason enough for Starry Studio to hand out a bundle of freebies for players who login between now and September 15th. The studio also promised to “stay true to its NO PAY-TO-WIN approach [emphasis Starry’s], ensuring that all players have a fair and enjoyable gaming experience.”
