Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is kicking off a celebration of its third anniversary this week with a big event that has a similarly big mouthful of a name: Halpha’s Super Origin Festival.

Starting today, April 24th, through June 4th, players will be able to crack into 10 free scratch ticket lockboxes a day up to a total of 150 on any day they like. As one would expect, these lockboxes offer up cosmetic items and support items, but if players don’t like what goodies they get, they can be traded in at a special vendor for rare items like emotes until June 11th. Players will also be able to use the salon for free, get weekly goodies during the campaign, and enjoy boosts to drop rates, item enhancement, and genesis point earnings over April and May.

The celebrations continue in this week’s content update with mischief symbols and fancy Rappies to find, nine-star Aeoni Dekelion weapons to buy in the seasonal points shop, and a pair of new limited-time quests to take on.

The MMO’s latest NGS Headline video shares some more details about the Halpha’s Super Origin Festival, along with a look at future content updates including new limited-time quests, battledia content, and the return of Crimson Realm in May, and the Line Strike in-game card game coming in July.
