Kakele Online adds fishing, improves gameplay features, and opens a world of cyborgs in latest update

This past July we checked back in on the latest happenings for Kakele Online, a 2-D mobile and PC indie MMORPG from Brazilian studio ViVa Games that promised a nostalgic experience for players. And if your nostalgia just happened to include adventures in a steampunk cyborg world, then you’re in luck because the most recent patch offers precisely that and more.

This new area and its related questline invites players to dive into a new world full of malevolent metallic creatures to discover how they were created. This new quest content is open to every character no matter what level they are, so players can get right into the steam-powered cybernetic fun.

Another major piece of the update is the addition of fishing, which happens to be its first-ever profession. The act of fishing will be powered by a minigame, while catches can confer bonuses to characters. More professions are planned later.

Other noteworthy features for this new patch include event updates intended to increase complexity, more new items and an overall increase in loot drops, better visuals, the addition of free movement, and a host of quality-of-life improvements. The full patch notes break it all down and the video below breaks it down with a Daft Punk song. You can probably guess which one.
