Could Black Desert look and perform even better than it does right now? Pearl Abyss thinks so, as the studio has signed a “memorandum of understanding” with Japan’s Silicon Studio to work together on graphic and engine technology. Silicon Studio has been in the business of creating game tech since 1999, with its work being used in games like Dark Souls III.

By putting their corporate heads together, Pearl Abyss and Silicon Studio could be able to make mutually beneficial advances in technology. This should be good news for Black Desert, which will benefit from any potential advancements and breakthroughs.

Pearl Abyss CEO Kyoungin Jung says that this is nothing but a win for the MMO: “Black Desert Online already boasts outstanding graphics, but with the cooperation of Silicon Studio, we will be able to elevate the game’s visuals to an even greater degree of fidelity.”
