I long ago figured that it was not just OK but actually helpful to have a stable of “comfort” movies and books and games. Whenever I’m feeling a bit down in the dumps or unwilling to dive into brand-new entertainment or uncertain what to do, having those comfort staples at hand can be a survival technique.
