Guilds dissolve. It’s almost inevitable. You get a group of people together and fun times happen, but eventually pressures both inside and out build up and the group dissolves. It doesn’t happen to every guild, but it’s definitely the usual arc of these player organizations. And sometimes that’s not a big deal, but other times it’s… well, just sad to watch.
Maybe it starts with a good friend being removed from the guild, for reasons justified or otherwise. Maybe it starts with a romantic breakup that leads to a cascade effect. Maybe it’s just a slow pull of people separating and doing their own thing until there’s no core remaining. Maybe it’s a combination of all of the above; maybe it’s something else altogether.
