The Daily Grind: Are there MMOs you wish you’d never played at all?

No thank you.

My list of played MMOs is long. Not as long as some people, to be fair; there are people who have played nearly everything in some capacity, whereas I rarely play something if I don’t expect to be committed to it for at least a little while. But there are a lot of games I have played for work or for personal enjoyment, and most of them I do not begrudge at all even though very few of them wound up being a long-term game for me.

Then there are… the other ones. The MMOs I honestly wish I had never played. Games that I kind of feel unhappy having knowledge or experience with, and not always because they’re terrible games or titles that weren’t worth it. Some of them are games that I fell in love with even knowing that they were living on borrowed time and it was thus pointless; others are games so flawed that I feel like it was ultimately wasted time or not productive. It varies, but the net result is the same. So what about you? Are there MMOs you wish you’d never played at all for whatever reason?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
