There are a lot of annoying modern phrases that everyone seems to latch onto and overuse — “glow up” is my current pet peeve, please stop using that, world — but Chris the other day reminded me of a phrase that I do appreciate: “core memory.” They’re the special memories that were foundational to your life that you may only remember when your mind is jolted in that direction.
So let me jolt your mind toward any core MMO memories you have. If you think back to some of the earliest or most important moments you had in online worlds, what would they be? Are they small details, meaningful feelings, or epic accomplishments?
