The Daily Grind: What’s your first move when you run out of storage in MMOs?

I’m a hoarder in MMORPGs. MJ’s the queen, no doubt, but I do have a sizeable collection of stuff in just about every game I play, and it’s rarely a problem. Most games give me enough storage, or I can make bankers/mules/squires/alts/etc. to hold my stuff, or better yet, I can just sell or trade my stuff away. Heck, I’ve even used the lack of space to inspire me to hold minigames or contests as an excuse to give stuff away.

But I also can make time to declutter. Some people I know who lack time just toss stuff without looking, or ask a friend to do it, or as I’ve seen in some games (especially lately in Pokemon GO with the historic low storage issue we’ve had this year), people just play less, if not wholly quit. How do you tackle your inventory when storage runs out? What’s your first move when you run out of storage in MMOs?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
