The Daily Grind: What’s a small piece of MMO news from 2023 that makes you happy?

You know what I’m really looking forward to next year? Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, in part because it’s bringing Viper along with it. Now, as of this moment I don’t yet know what Viper is going to be like. It is ultimately kind of minor news for this year because, well, it is definitionally previewing something that’s not coming until next year. But it still made me happy this year, and in the middle of a very challenging year for me, I’m going to take the win.

So what was a small piece of MMO news that makes you happy? It could be as simple as a little reward that does a lot for you, or it could be a new event structure. A preview of next year’s content or just a game that kept patching and bringing you joy all year. Maybe it doesn’t deserve an award, and maybe you won’t even remember it in a year, but it made you happy this year. What you got?
