Naturally, when you think about historical armored and most definitely land-based tanks, your mind will free-associate right to Star Trek. Wargaming was wise, therefore, to capitalize upon this tenuous connection by hosting a Trek-themed mode in World of Tanks next month.
The “Call to the Final Frontier” event is scheduled to run from May 2nd through the 13th and will put players into the driver’s seat of futuristic “rovers” romping around on an alien world. It’s not really clear why Star Trek or why the studio picked the now-aging Kelvin movies as this event’s inspiration, but why question it when you could beam down and have a fun time?
Also, this is a legitimate question:
wouldn't a Star Trek crossover with @WorldofWarships have made more sense? I mean, not a lot more sense, but, you know… ships. Star Trek is pretty well known for its ships…
