When you think about it, tuning combat encounters in MMOs has to be a fiendishly tricky business for devs. You can’t make them overly trivial, yet if the time-to-kill (TTK) for a basic mob is too long, players get bored and frustrated. That balancing act sounds simple until you factor in all of the skills and gear and other variables.
