For the past two years, a rogue server of SoulWorker known as Burning SoulWorker was operating under the stewardship of one individual called Burning. In those two years, the rogue server reportedly became beloved by many, noted by our tipster as superior to the Western release of the game as well as the only version playable in Oceanic territories. Unfortunately, an unforeseen medical need has forced Burning to shut the server down.
According to the farewell letter, Burning has been diagnosed with a hereditary disease that requires residency in a medical facility 24/7 for the months to come. That means Burning SoulWorker will go dark too.
“You might be upset or angry upon learning this news, and I get it. I’m frustrated as well. But all your work and time invested on this server hasn’t been on vain. Together, we did build something to be proud of,” writes Burning. “This game, and the community which I hold dear to my heart, have been my daily grind for over two years. There hasn’t been a single day I could not think, or care, about it. Having to departure in such a short time span has been one of the hardest moments for me in those recent years.”
