We recently ran a feature all about an iceberg of obscure World of Warcraft knowledge, weird unused parts of the game or old promotions or whatever. To the non-surprise of most people who know me, I knew most of the stuff on it. I have been playing and reading about WoW for a long time. But there were a few items on there I actually didn’t know about, and that was enough to immediately delight me as I went searching for information about these heretofore unknown corners of the game.

I assume, of course, that this is not universal. Most people probably don’t really want to know about unused files in Star Wars: The Old Republic that indicate there were original plans for a very different recruitment line for your own HK droid, for example. But this sort of stuff is like catnip for me, and I adore learning more about these obscure corners, content not just obsoleted but never put into practice, weird little secrets and bits of prototyped maps. What about you? Do you like collecting trivia about unused MMO content?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
