The Daily Grind: What social features is your MMO missing?

Five years into Fallout 76, I’m still crushing on it. I love getting to romp around a persistent post-apocalyptic wasteland, leveling up, and building a base. My only major ongoing frustration is that I still cannot talk to other players or join a guild. For whatever stubborn, short-sighted reason, Bethesda refuses to put in these pretty standard social tools for an online RPG.

I’m sure that Fallout 76 isn’t the only such game that’s missing key social features. When you look at that area of your MMO, what deficiencies do you see? Are you missing a calendar? Guild projects? A home base for your crew? Or something else entirely?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
