LOTRO continues to fine-tune wraith placement on legendary worlds

LOTRO II: The Wraith of Khan

On Lord of the Rings Online’s new progression servers, the talk of the town is the frequent muggings by Nazgul underlings. While the random wraith attacks are part and parcel of this special Veil of the Nine ruleset, Standing Stone Games has shown a willingness to fine-tune these appearances so as to give players a fighting chance.

Earlier this week we reported that LOTRO scaled back the frequency of lower-level wraith attacks. And now it looks as though the studio is trying to remove wraiths from solo instances where these creatures could form a wall keeping unprepared players from progressing.

“We intend to remove Shadow Wraiths from at least story instances if we can,” a studio rep posted on the forums. “Once our actual work is done and checked out we’ll have more information, but we wanted to let people know we have been reading this feedback and are working on an adjustment.”
