The time is soon coming for another expedition to kick off for regular players of the PvPvE extraction FPS ARC Raiders. Embark Studios has put out an announcement that confirms a start date and other details for the activity in order to help players prepare for their next series of runs with a new character.
The second expedition will run between Wednesday, February 25th, and Sunday, March 1st, complete with a newly lowered stash value goal of 3 million coins, which is a result of player feedback that said the first expedition’s goal was too high to meet. Additionally, the new expedition will introduce a skill point catch-up feature for those who didn’t get enough coins for the last expedition; missing skill points will be discounted, though any earned coins will first go to the current expedition.
As far as rewards are concerned, those are staying the same, which include permanent cosmetics for characters and Scrappy the rooster, permanent bonus stash spaces, and temporary but consecutive expedition buffs to XP, materials found by Scrappy, and repair value. The image below provides a general rundown of what’s coming.
Meanwhile, the shooter’s runaway success continues to be noted by Embark, as CEO Patrick Söderlund has noted the release has provided a safety net for the studio. “We can live for a long time on the money that Arc Raiders has been generating, and that does give financial security and employment stability for the people that work there,” Söderlund tells IGN. “We’re growing our studio, we’re hiring people, we want to build more of ARC Raiders.”
