Sure, why not, whatever.

Happy launch week for No Man’s Sky, especially to those who have been waiting years for the exploration-happy title (and PC players will have to wait a little longer than console fans). Even if you’re spoiled yourself silly on all of the advance previews, the team has a large day one patch that should add a few new surprises.

The patch kicks off with the introduction of three “unique paths” that players can follow for diverse experiences. Other additions include even larger galaxies, more diverse ecologies, scary planet types, planetary rotation, more types of ships, larger inventories, deeper trading, and a rewritten auto aim system for combat.

So what’s coming down the pike for No Man’s Sky? “Next up we’re adding the ability to build bases and own giant space freighters. Temporal AA and my new cloud rendering tech should be coming soon too. It will really change the game again, and enhance it visually.”
