IronSalamander8 .

So I tried it again over my long weekend (thanks to an impacted wisdom tooth removal) and I want to give it another chance but it seems pointless despite some good things here with so little support from the devs (for obvious reasons) and a tiny community. I did see someone in the starter area this time on my lowbie Drakken warrior but that was the only player I saw, chat again was pretty active though.

I tried this one briefly but never got into it although it had some promise. I’m also annoyed with NCSoft for this game still being up but they shut CoX down. I tried it again a year or 2 ago and I never saw another player out on the planet I was on barring the friend that joined me briefly. The chat had some pretty friendly people encouraging others to play though.

Wildstar is a sore subject for me. I bought into it before it was even released. It literally has EVERYTHING to be a great MMO, but for whatever reason the game does not get any love.

Of all the AAA Western MMOs, Wildstar’s inability to break out and make it big sadens me the most.

The art direction and gameplay are both fantastic. It just suffers by being born to horrible parents and now has to pay for the sins of its fathers. Such a shame.

If Wildstar had a properly staffed dev team and properly managed studio and publisher behind it, it could’ve been just a massive and brilliant hit.

I keep dreaming that someday Blizzard will buy it and reinvigorate it.

It just doesn’t deserve to die this slow and painful death.

Wow, that’s three more years than I would have expected NCSoft to give it. It could be they’re finally learning a thing or two about supporting their games and player communities. Go figure.

Then again, they shut Master X Master down in 6 months flat last year. :P

Your first line is basically how I approach my own birthdays.

Four years, wow! Happy fourth birthday! :D

Has it really not had an expansion? I’m not hooked into the game’s cycle, so I may well have missed it, or they may operate on a different system of pushing out new content.

No actual expansion to the game, and the last new Story/Content update was Vault of the Archon in 2016. Yes. Two years ago. The only real thing it’s had since then is the post 50 Primal Power alternate advancement system, and Prime Difficult levels to dungeons and expeditions. Higher difficulty. Better loot. That’s really it.

Higher difficulty. Better loot.

Stuffed behind a multi-month hard time gate with the super extra bonus of trivializing all non-Prime content into irrelevancy.

Yeah don’t you just love these lame things in mmo’s.
