Ashes of Creation hires seven new team members and gets ready for Alpha One

Information and reveals from Intrepid Studios about Ashes of Creation continues to be sporadic — but fortunately not absent entirely. The studio recently sent out a short newsletter to its backers informing them that testing and work continues as the MMO undergoes Alpha Zero and prepares for the first phase of Alpha One.

“We just completed two straight weeks of testing in Alpha Zero with over 2,000 participant,” Intrepid said. “We know how hard it can be for an MMO to have a smooth launch, and the experience on our team of veterans who have launched some of the largest MMOs in the past, combined with the endless testing we have planned and a community hungry to help, we can be certain that Ashes will launch with a quality to make you proud.”

To help in this endeavor, Intrepid has hired seven new team members who will be introduced to the community some time later this month. The studio’s also going to be talking to fans on Twitch tonight at 6:00 p.m. EDT, so don’t miss that if you’re interested in finding out more about this game.

Really looking forward to this game. Most have been burned by MMOs in the past so if you have any doubt just wait until the game comes out (still a long ways away) and pay $15 for a month of game play and make up your mind at that point. There will be no box price and only the monthly subscription fee. If you want to look into the game more take a look at their website and forums where you can register and find out more information. https://www.ashesofcreation.com/ref/Sintu/

Pretty fast development so far. I mean, with most MMO’s I’d be expecting an alpha to probably still be two years off. Guess that’s what a lot of money can get you! ;)

When they announced this they had already done a lot of work too, a full year’s worth IIRC. Still, they are keeping up a strong pace for sure!

Looking forward to seeing more. I’m curious to see if they can really pull this off. I like the node idea that are pushing for this.

So after the massive disappointment called “Bless Online”, AoC is now officially my last hope for 2018.

Alpha zero started in December. Sharif was hinting at a 2020 beta (if all goes well). I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Alpha 1 has been announced for Q4 of 2018.

There’s no way it’ll be out in 2018. Best you can hope for is maybe beta in 2019.

A:IR will come out before AoC, so I have two last hopes!
