If you’re a pro modder and you like ARK: Survival Evolved, you might want to have a look at the dino sandbox’s new modding contest. It features over $25,000 in prizes that include cash, Alienware desktops, and Nvidia graphics cards.

The contest boasts two rounds and two categories: new maps and new functionality or game modes. Instructions for entering the competition as well as a list of rules is available on Alienware’s website. Entries are due by October 6, 2015.

Dr_Sweers ThunderJackson Gibbins I just woke up after playing it til 3 am last night. Had a lot of fun. I wish it ran a little better, but by turning graphics down to medium I got decent FPS.

I would join you guys on the MOP server, but the guys I play with can be a little bandity at times and I understand that that’s frowned upon on that server.

ThunderJackson Gibbins good choice:)  The game is leaps and bounds ahead of any other EA I’ve played.  Excellent game. Hope you have fun!

Dystopiq It helps that the game gets updates fast and furiously. New stuff is constantly being added.

I have 655 hours logged in Ark since EA release, trust me.. it is not your usual EA “we will finish it sometime never cos we already have your money” game.  This game is getting major updates on average twice per week….. that’s right, twice per week, with new dino’s, optimisations, new biomes, new items, new game modes etc etc all coming thick and fast.

This has been a real gem for me, and many other people playing on the MOP server, extremely good value for money and only going to get better.  As many people have said in this and other threads, this early access game puts some AAA release ready games to shame.

This game is sooooo F’ing tempting, but I really don’t want to get roped into another early access game like the DayZ:SA. where two years later it’s still in alpha and has less features than the mod did.

deekay_zero Koshelkin cursedseishi Well I was mainly using steams built-in streaming function for turn-based strategy and rpg titles on my Surface Tablet, I can’t really comment on anything which demands fast response times.(I could try to stream witcher 3 on my tablet just for the lols, tho ^^, also the combat demands a comparatively fast reaction in the 2 highest difficulty modes).

deekay_zero Dystopiq Yeh, day one for ~25 bucks, it had more content than some AAA $60 releases. And its a fucking fun and solid game, with more coming, I cant wait for snow, swamps and the under water shit.
