If we could all get whatever we wanted tomorrow, I’m willing to bet dollars to donuts we would all want the same fundamental thing: the best game ever. What that game is would vary, but we’d all want it. So let’s mix things up a bit – if you could have anything you want in an extant game, rather than resurrecting a lost game or creating a new one, what would you ask for?
I’d be happy with some more housing areas in Final Fantasy XIV and maybe cheaper houses to boot. I also wouldn’t mind finding out that World of Warcraft‘s expansion is coming out in February with full polish. Oh, and I’d really dig on a Cardassian faction in Star Trek Online. You get the idea.
What about you, dear readers? What would you like to receive tomorrow in a live game?

Robert80Â Hurbster It’s repeating content for the sake of repeating content. It’s endgame as far as I am concerned as my characters personal story ended back in Coldharbour. I don’t raid, pvp or do dungeons if I have to group up. Everything after that is just lazy padding.
Agree about the mounts.
Well keep in mind, new doesn’t mean good. I can run out and by a $300 Dell and it’s not gonna have a snowballs chance in hell of running it.
The PU is borked. Last night was horrendous. Kinda ready to leave it sit until the next patch. AC was still running find though so maybe some swarm. I just get sick of negotiating the out of bounds area with dumb ai. They always wanna go play near the edge.
I upgraded to a Mustang Delta last night. I really didn’t want to do any of this upgrading. I upgraded from the Autora because it was ugly. Upgraded from the 300i because having an empty hard point annoyed me and the other two weapons were slow. I upgraded from the avenger because that sucker punch cannon just isn’t my style. I’m sure distortion will be fun at some point, but it essentially left me with the ability to take down shields with one shot and then a peashooter to have a go at hulls.
I’m going to have to be satisfied with this even though I am now once again without missiles. So far the rockets have only been good for hitting dopes who are sitting still. And I don’t want to keep going up even if it is incremental. Besides the next ship in the list I would want is the Gladius. My cheapness and desire to play the game for my stuff won’t let me do that. I almost upgraded to the Reliant but I was told that I would get an Aurora to play with in the meantime and THAT ain’t happening.
carsont Giggilybits I’m still surprised that games that do have bards still haven’t picked up on the ‘twisting’ mechanic that EQ did. It wasn’t really an official mechanic, but it sure was pretty neat to find a good bard who was able to do that in the day.
GoJammit I just wish SC still didn’t keep running like ass on a fairly new system I have.
Blizzard reverting class gameplay back to what it was in Wrath or even in Cataclysm. I’d be happy with that. All the classes that I’m playing in WoW now feel like they’re these weird alternate universe versions of the classes these days.
RIFT: A big stack of Credits. SWTOR: Several F2P restrictions removed from the game forever. TSW: Issue #5-7 DLC made free/bundled in with the initial B2P.

Doubtful, since we’ve been on lower populated servers and it depends on how the server population handles its low population if has one at all. Its depends on the game and if the game is made to be played together or if everyone is able to run around autonomous of one another due to game making grouping and communication a chore.
“Here’s a nice new sandbox World of Warcraft for you to play in. Â It has a completely revamped questing system! It’s more interactive and fun! Â Servers for PVP and PVE are exactly the same, so if you don’t want to World PVP all the time, you don’t have to! Â But the stakes have gotten even higher kids. Â We’ve introduced instanced housing, an improved mount system, fully interactive warships and airships to pilot the sea and air, so make sure you have a good crew of friends. Like the solo game? We have airships and battleships for the soloist as well! Â Like to raid? We still have a great raiding system for those that love the raiding scene. But we’ve completely taken away the gear treadmill that has slowly eaten away at our game for the past eleven years. Â Want more? Come test it out today! It’s eternally free to try and really cheap to buy! And don’t worry. We won’t do anything stupid like put limiters on chat. Â Have fun and thank you for being a loyal Blizzard customer!”
Cambruin Oh man, that train-ride to level in ESO is why I left. Well, that and veteran levels. Yeah, let’s do the 1-50 grind again, and then once more after that for good luck!
blackcat7k except it will, since that server will be chronically underpopulated, which damages progression and economy, as well as magnifying the effects of class imbalances.
