Return of Warrior, 9 Dragons, and Ragnarok Online China all shut down shortly

So long, farewell, again.

Every game is someone’s favorite game. They might slip your mind from time to time, but there’s someone out there for whom 9 Dragons was a lengthy home, and there’s someone who made countless memories in Return of Warrior. Unfortunately, that can only be discussed in the past tense now, as both games are shutting down local service shortly. Return of Warrior has already shut down its website, meaning that the only record of it is on the Internet Archive, while 9 Dragons still has a site up but will be shut down as of tomorrow.

Ragnarok Online is also undergoing a sunset, albeit only in its Chinese version. The game has lasted 13 years in the country and jumped between three different publishers, but the interest finally dwindled to the point that shutdown was inevitable. Our condolences to the staff and fans of all of these games.
