If you can work around the complexities of multiple people’s schedules, there’s a delight to be found in scheduling a regular group night every week. Knowing that there’s a party already prepped to take you on adventures in MMOs can take a lot of the psychological pressure off of finding groups and add some excitement to your routine.

So assuming that you have or have had a regular MMO group, what role do you most enjoy playing? Personally, I tend to slide into a support or healing capacity, since I like seeing my teammates succeed and want to help them (and me) achieve their goals. Plus, I don’t get yelled at as much for letting so-and-so die as I do when I’m a healer in a PUG.

What about you? Do you have a preferred role in a static group?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
