Fresh out of the test server and into the rogue server of City of Heroes: Homecoming comes the most important thing to ever arrive to the character creator: asymmetry. At last, you can make your characters look like they’re wearing different shoes to work and hoping nobody will say anything with the game’s latest patch.
Not only are asymmetrical boots and gloves an option for the costume creator now, but the Electrical Affinity support powerset is live too. This new power choice is built around chaining powers and inspired by some of the game’s modern melee and ranged sets, with the ability to provide buffs to your team and debuffs to enemies. Electrical Affinity also introduces a new mechanic called Circuit, which dynamically changes the number of targets certain powers hit for every stack of Static your character has. The patch has also brought the new Experimentation origin powers online and some new IOs.
In addition to this update, there’s a fun April Fools’ patch (which recently was hotfixed) that lets players use Toy Bats on one another, has a small child follow your character around on your adventures, and makes some adjustments to the Brawl power. Trust me, you want to use the Brawl power now.
