If you’ve ever picked up a watermelon, you know that they can sometimes be ponderously heavy, and their shape and smooth skin isn’t doing the task any favors either. Such is the challenge that ArcheAge players will have to navigate during the Watermelon Event. At least, players’ in-game avatars, anyway. The devs are not asking you to physically deliver watermelons.
Between now and Thursday, April 30th, players can go to either Austera, Marianople, or Diamond Shores depending on their allegiance to speak with a special NPC, get an Order Receipt, bring that to a machine for a Quest Letter, and click said Letter to heft a watermelon around and deliver it to a specific location. Once your character is holding the watermelon, they can’t put it down or drop it or else the quest fails.
So what awaits players for going through all of this watermelon-shaped inconvenience? 2,000 Honor or Vocation points and 10 Watermelon Tokens, which can be used to buy a variety of rewards including various Awakening Scrolls, elixers, a pet, and a set of Watermelon Swimwear. Summer’s just around the corner, after all!
