The Daily Grind: What does your gaming space look like?

62
Big energy.

Oh, I’d love to have rocket recliners and popcorn dispensers at hand, but the truth is that my gaming space is pretty tame. I only have one (1) monitor on a white table that is barely big enough to hold my computer, a lamp, speakers, and various cables. I do have a framed Chrono Trigger picture and some art from my kids up on the wall, as well as a nice window to remind me what the outdoor looks like.

Today, let’s share a description — or perhaps even a picture — of our gaming spaces! When you sit down to log into an MMO, what does your immediate environment look like?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!

Sup. Too lazy to take a pic so I’ll insert one I did for facebook a year ago. Looks exactly the same.

Marvel at the tidy, clean and organised workspace that is my desk. All shall love me and despair.

I’ll despair that your OCD is that bad that you couldn’t even have one thing out of place for that photo… :P

(That’s the kind of perfectionism that my OCD wants to have, but my health issues causing fatigue/motivation issues all the time has left me without the ability to maintain…but it’s also taxing to maintain that kind of level…so beware you don’t over-do.)

Definitely nothing special here but it’s a work in progress.

couchsurfing my 65` 4k vista, comfort, freedom of movement and panorama view to enhance my reflections breath with the distinct elegance of an anti-office ambience. cuz my second life (is like my first) not a job, but a choice.
and as a choice it is a priviledge.
and priviledges come with a certain intimate environment…

it has always been like that, cuz its an attitude.

It looks godawful and i’m ashamed of it. It has too much paper, my drawings tend to clog the table, it has little space, and my cats like to sleep on top of my printer.

I would love to re-adapt my home.

I suck at panorama photos, but this is mine. The top floor of our house has two small connecting rooms, which we’ve made into his and hers computer rooms – works out well for gaming as we can yell through the door at each other. :D

Thank you – it’s tiny, but fun. :D

Tiny is perfection. I actually keep all my stuff in my living room because it makes it feel like a one-room apartment, and i prefer it. Comfy and tiny is paradise <3

I LOVE this. The dark walls and all the BOOKS. It looks incredible. So cozy and moody and perfect.

Thanks! I work from home, plus gaming, so I wanted it comfy. :)

It looks like a mess. It’s actually carefully organized chaos, disguised as a mess.

Best thing about 2020 was working from home and finding my current desk which is formerly called “62 in. Adjustable Height Work Bench Table” from home depot.

I mounted my PC on a platform underneath and now I can roll it from up against my wall where it works like an ‘office desk’ and over to my loveseat. The height adjustability is easy to use and I have all the cords button up so only the power cord and an optional ethernet cable are ‘off the desk’.

And as you can see, my faithful gaming companion has plenty of room to walk and lay around.

That work bench is awesome. It’s not quite the right size for my space, but I love the idea of it.

What’s that glowie thing under your desk?

“A window sill reflecting back daylight, Uta?”

Oh…yeah. Thought it was some space age keyboard you could wave your hands over…

“Wait, you didn’t notice the dog standing in front of the monitor!?”

Oh!! o.O
