Yes, all of this.

When it comes to crowdfunded MMOs, the ones that get the most attention from gamers are often those that have collapsed into scams or are just piles of underbaked releases, or even games that have not yet released and increasingly seem less likely to actually release any time soon. And that’s understandable. But there are other crowdfunding stories out there, and we talk about several of them on a consistent basis. Titles like Albion Online, for example, have made their mark on the industry and seem to be doing well enough for themselves.

There are plenty of other upcoming games like The Wagadu Chronicles that have made progress and seem to be developed with the right overall mindset and budget management needed for a smaller crowdfunded title. It’s not all overlong development and collapses, in fact. So are there crowdfunded MMOs you’re still excited, either launched or still making their ways to launch? Or is the mere specter of crowdfunding now a net negative to your eyes?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
