The Daily Grind: What MMO do you want to like more than you do?

Sorry.

I have tried, multiple times, to really enjoy Black Desert. There’s only one thing I really don’t like about the game on paper (gender-locked classes, you all know how I feel about those) and a lot of things I do like, and as one of the Big Five I feel like I should have more experience and knowledge about the game than I do. But every single time I try something about it just turns me off. I just… can’t get into it. I’m sorry, it’s not you, it’s me. Or maybe it’s you. Either way, no hate, just… not feeling it.

I think we all have games that on paper meet everything we need but just wind up hitting us cold. Not games you actively dislike, just games you feel like you should be into when in reality you just aren’t. So what MMO do you want to like more than you do? What game has everything you want on paper that fails to capture your enthusiasm in practice?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
