Between my job here and my job as a reviewer elsewhere, I play a lot of video games for work. I also play a lot of video games not for work, because I like video games. And sometimes these things overlap or fail to do so in odd ways, so I wind up having something I was looking forward to launch… and then I don’t actually get to play it for like a year.
The same thing happens with MMOs, too. I have MMOs that I need to play for work purposes, and then I have MMOs that are a major component of my life, and there’s some overlap there. Then there are MMOs that I would like to play and are still installed, but one thing leads to another and it’s December and I’m muttering about the fact that I actually didn’t play them at all this year between the more important stuff.
It doesn’t mean I dislike the games; there are just only so many hours in the day and things to do during most of them. But what about you? Are there MMOs you feel you missed out on in 2022? Either because the updates made you want to check them out or just because you usually do play them at least a little?
