I think I’m going to write the most useless doctoral thesis someday about why we bounce off of games yet come back to try again later. There are so many factors that can spoil a first impression, and with ever-improving live service games like MMOs, returning to it down the road to give it another chance isn’t a bad idea.
But then there are those titles that you’ve tried and tried and tried to get into — but it’s never really clicked. This can be frustrating when FOMO is driving you to it or the MMO in question seems — on paper — to have everything you want.
