Mabinogi has a whole lot of plans for this year above and beyond its upgrade to Unreal Engine 5. The MMORPG’s latest producer’s letter has given fans a look at content updates slated through 2024, and while there aren’t many dates on offer, there are certainly things on the horizon.

Top of the list is the celebration of the MMO’s 16th anniversary, headlined by the Festival of the Stars event that promises returning activities, a new basketball minigame, multiple star-themed items, and another annual Anniversary GM Event to celebrate.

Another big piece of content planned this year is Renovation Season 5, which brings a host of combat updates prompted by recent arcana updates including buffs to certain attacks, improvements to lance weapons, and updates to shield effects. Players can also expect a new chapter in the game’s main story this summer.

Nexon has also pulled the curtain back on Moonlight Island, a “new take on creating a unique lifestyle space” for players and their favorite NPCs. Details on this feature are a bit slim, but there is mention of the ability to change the island’s topography and invite residents to engage in item production activities. Other plans for 2024 include updates to the game’s VIP service benefits and the ability to play event minigames at any time, all of which are coming at some point or another this year.
